Officer Mohamed Nor

This question from Troy yesterday. What's your take on this last police shooting?

I haveta assume this was an accidental killing. Dark alley, loud bang and then the gun goes off. However them cops are making it hard for juries to continue to find 'em innocent. Now we have a cop taking the 5th. Strange times indeed. Matters to consider. . .

Now that a black cop has gunned down an unarmed, pajama clad, white woman, is the black community going to get riled up?

Are our communities recruiting assertive, and not aggressive folks, to police America's streets?

Should officers be held accountable for their mistakes as others are? For example, truck drivers are routinely cited for log book infractions after accidents, even if is not their fault, as in being rear-ended?

Do cops know how to play the system, as in pleading the 5th in the interest of self-preservation? I mean every time a common citizen does the same thing everyone plays the assume game i.e. they're guilty.

If this lady was armed as per the NRA's mandate, would she be alive today?

Are common folks ever going to really give a damn until their ox is gored or shot?

Has America become the next 'Killing Field'?

Who is going to be the next gunned down citizen?

Rest assured law and order types, the jury will find this cop innocent.

Man, a cop like this has to make it hard on juries to keep finding them innocent. Ya think?

Wisdom

One thing mankind certainly will not come up with is a cult that believes the world is going to end in the next five minutes. Many thanks to the fine book lovers of Durango for having me be a part of their day.

Points to Consider When Pointin' Fingers

This post is from yesterday regarding North Korea. So what do ya think?

Good point to ponder. So who exactly is evil one?

TRENTON, N.J. — The family of the late reggae icon and marijuana activist Peter Tosh is seeking answers after they say his son was left in a coma following an attack in a New Jersey jail, where he was serving a six-month sentence on pot possession charges.
Jawara McIntosh has been hospitalized since suffering traumatic brain injuries in the attack in February at the Bergen County jail, where he was after pleading guilty to marijuana possession, his family said.

Is North Korea Responsible?

What do you think readers? Is North Korea a really bad country or are we all a part of the equation? This is what the the U.S. President thinks. . .

U.S. President Donald Trump blamed "the brutality of the North Korean regime" for Warmbier's death. South Korean President Moon Jae-in, who had advocated talks with the North, said Pyongyang had a "heavy responsibility" in the events leading up to the University of Virginia student's death.

Readers thoughts regarding my novel, Boy in The Vest

This from a beta reader regarding Boy in The Vest . . . This story gives a lot of food for thought regarding terror attacks and the motivations thereof.  The partial gives a picture of ignorance and almost sheep like obedience that exists in the jihadists desire to reach heaven through bloodshed. It is sad and also angering how people’s lives can be taken to mean so little.

Chelsea Manning

Do Secrets Corrupt and Absolute, Cross My Heart and Hope to Die Secrets Corrupt Absolutely? Aren't better Governments, to a certain degree, based on the Freedom of the Press, the ability of sharing Thoughts and Concerns; Destination The Truth? First the Fear of Getting Sued totally silenced many followed up with this Chelsea Manning Kind of Thing. When I was writing The Boy in the Vest, many times soldiers would swear me to secrecy because of fears over what the military would do to them. Well have a good weekend and keep your mouth shut and your head down, be the lamb, not the lion, because you could be next.

Micheal Slager & Betty Shelby arent convicted but. . . then along came Officer Roy Oliver.

Oh the times they are a changing. You have pieces of The System starting to point fingers. The prosecutors are running to juries. Lets hold our breath and hope better days are in the offing. I agree with the comment below, from yesterday. Well stated. Seems like killing an unarmed kid is going to be tough for even a cop to walk away from. But never underestimate The System that protects its own.

Humanity should never become used to the death, harm or disparaged treatment of others. When we become used to the wrong doings in the world we are on the path to ruin. What we allow... we condone. Sad--- Rise up people --- advocate for those who cannot!!!
