Brand of Justice was thoroughly edited by Sween Services. This outfit represents many years of editing by retired English specialists. So I'm scratching my head regarding concerns representing the editing of this book, but, must say I'm glad ya loved the plot line. My primary concern with this review is that the reviewer did not get the thrust of this story. Issues concerning a frustration with the criminal justice system. Innocent folks being put to death because of a faulty system. The belief that 'it'll never happen to me'. Apathy. What about Ferguson and on and on?
I absolutely love the plot line of this novel. With a really good edit, this novel would be terrific. However, because the word maybe is "may be" and the wrong form of "there" is used several times, I could not give it more stars.
