Purple Rain

I did not pick up one instance of racism when Minnesota lost a legend. Refreshing in a sad way I must say.

The Fear of Knowledge

These reviews posted on Amazon by Shannon, first one for JusThis and the second one, for Brand of Justice. Rest assured I do not know Shannon. It would appear she has experianced pain in her life and thus is motivated by scorn. I get it. I could approach Amazon I suppose and strike her 'I did not, nor will I, read this book' but yet I will review it. I was in Montana for the trial. I heard the words and considered viewpoints from all sides of the issue. I also visited with an FBI Agent who befriended Ted Bundy. You see, it's about understanding the issue. Here goes . . . if Mr Hicks was so bad why was he left alone with a three year old in the first place? Has he experianced major changes to his life? What can be done to avoid so much heartbreak in the future? It's important to consider all viewpoints. Fearing Knowledge is a Choice. The Nazi's had a book burning.

I did not, nor will I, read this book. This man says he attended the trial of Jerimie
Hicks? Who he quotes on the back of the book? If he did then he saw video
testimony of Jerimie admitting he bashed in a little girls head, and then put her in
pajamas and left her upstairs in her bed to die while he tried to clean the evidence.
To quote him and portray him as a victim completely sickens me... Mr. Rude the
real victim was Kaelyn Serene Bray... She was three... And Jerimie showed his
character when he hurt her, and left her injured for hours. How dare you profit from
 my sisters heartbreak

Guns Tornados and Warnings

Oh for the love of the Second Amendment. Guns and good old American Violence have world travelers concerned. I was in Wurzburg Germany and was asked by a kind German lady, Ingegorg, why we love guns and shooting each other so much. She also asked about Tornados. Can you imagine? tornados and guns loped together? CNN is running the following story if you're interested. If ya have a moment today, think kind thoughts regarding a victim of gun-violence.

I'm a couple years late in reading these, but both of your books are really good! It was hard to put them down.....until life got in the way. Having grown up in a small town and now raising a family in a small town, it is very easy to see how people in positions of authority can and do use their power to their benefit. Your insight really brings to light that these kinds of things can and unfortunately do happen. It really makes one think. Looking forward to reading your next book.

I have always maintained a desire to see it for what it is. Not what I want it to be. It is very rewarding to actually have someone read and understand my words. My next story involves young people, heroin and the concept of radicalization. I have researched the story and met with Muslims, American soldiers and grieving parents who have lost loved ones to drug overdoses. I would love to gift you a copy when it is completed Joanne.

A Reader's Comment and how Victor would Answer

Big fucking deal, I climbed a mountain of Bullshit to get to the of the mount called the * * *. Once I got there I saw the hopelessness of my career and told myself Big Fucking Deal I made it to the top and all I could see was more Bullshit on the next mountain.
You on the other hand had it easy as you were climbing only a small hill of Bullshit in a one trick pony place called Austin,MN. Once you got on top all you could see was more Pig Shit.
So go to the top of the earth and see if GOD gives you a new set of commandments for the rest of US to follow.
Safe trip old man.

Victor Hugo: "True or False: that which is said of men often occupies as important a place in their lives, and above all in their destinies, as that which they do.

Yes . . . wise advice, I shall climb my mountain come May. I do hope GOD does not speak with lighting or an avalanche. I must finish my current story being written.

Trump and Sanders are Exposing the Wizard of America

In the land of Democracy where all are told their vote matters what of this Contested Convention and Special Delegates business? I won't even get into the Electoral College for gods' sake. Nope, thanks to Bernie and Don we all know some votes count more than others. And we thought there was no monster called the System lurking in the shadows. Just another day of vanishing freedoms. Rigged? No question about it. Seeing is believeing after-all.

Truth is Stranger than Fiction

My stories . . . JusThis was written well, but was not plausible, according to one reviewer. The actions of Police Chief's have validated may story let me tell you. Unbelievable ya say? click away and believe! Then I penned Brand of Justice and Travon Martin - Ferguson and and and occurred. The problem with the review below is it was a true story!

How Did One 23-Year-Old Justify the Negative Review on His Comment Card after Seeing a Test Screening of the Apollo 13 Movie?
The Ron Howard film about the famed spacecraft was a big hit, and everyone loved it. Well, except for one 23-year-old viewer at a test screening who wrote a less than favorable comment card. His complaint? The movie was too unrealistic. If a crew had landed in the ocean as they did in the film, they wouldn't have survived. He called it, "Terrible. More Hollywood BS."Hey, we don't blame him for not thinking it was real. It's a pretty unbelievable story.

And the Killing Continues

Good luck. Gun Violence killed common sense a longtime ago. Still haunted by them little ones at Sandy Hook who were blown into early graves. The Nation turned a deaf ear to the grieveing parents while passing even more liberal legistation for Gun Lovers. Iowa just passed a law making silencers legal. Perhaps they want Gun Violence in there State to be less disturbing.

Saints coach says gun defenders are hanging onto wrong ideas. ... accident, the New Orleans Saints coach is pleading for more gun control. .... line coach, he had all the tools to become a head coach.

Bonnie Bertrang fights City Hall!

Check out the cops and their antics you want a good laugh in Mondovi Wisconsin!

To answer your question from yesterday . . . I guess the story remains the same. Good ole' boys run amok. Experience vs Minimal Qualifications, which were tossed out during the selection process for Chief of Police. This from a good book JusThis . . . 'Corruption is and always has been imbedded into the fabric of governmental systems. When a simple truth is revealed that might be construed as threatening, action is quickly taken to silence the voice of truth. The status quo must be maintianed. Words are used to confuse and impede. The reins of power are held tightly in the hands of a few privileged individuals.' Think about it for a minute. The Mayor didn't play by the rules no matter how ya cut it.

The Male Canidate backed by the Mayor.

Smith has worked for the Mondovi Police Department since 1987, amassing a great deal of experience working with local residents on law enforcement tasks. He also serves as a reserve officer for the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department and was a member of the Mondovi Ambulance Service for eight years.
While Smith has completed training in various police-related subjects over the years and took classes toward a criminal justice degree back in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, degree work was never completed.
Committee members explained that current laws require police chiefs to hold a degree, a fact they said essentially excluded Smith from consideration.
vs

The female Canidate

In short, Bertrang obtained her associate’s degree in criminal justice from Chippewa Valley Technical College in 2012, graduating with honors. Prior to joining the MPD force full-time in May 2013, Bertrang worked for the Eau Claire Police Department as a community service officer for about a decade, achieving the rank of senior community service officer.
Pittman clarified that Bertrang’s work for the ECPD was a civilian position concerning tasks like handling stray animals and writing parking tickets.
Bertrang’s application also contained a variety of recommendations from former officers and colleagues, including current ECPD chief Jerry Staniszewski, attesting to her strong leadership and interpersonal skills on the job.

This in the Land of free Speech

So George W. Bush orders 28 pages of a report to be withheld from the viewing public(us). Man, what gives here? Look I noted the who shady deal in my first story JusThis. The issue was addressed by Noam Chomsky when he observed that the media plays along with those in 'Power Positions'. He called it 'Implied Consent'.Whatever happened to The Freedom of Information Act after Nixon got fired up? I suspect it was trampled by a nasty bunch of attorneys. Just think . . . we have all been denied information in the land of free speech. Are you at all concerned?

The Obama administration is facing renewed pressure to release a top secret report that allegedly shows that Saudi Arabia directly helped to finance the September 11 attacks.

How could I say NO to St Paul?

In St Paul today for a private Meet and Greet. Good day for it, snowing and awful out there.
Hey thanks for the inspired request and the interest in this blog. We go where everyone is soon to be. Caught up with some followers of Islam and their thoughts from Mankato. We can agree to disagree but always respect one another.

He's Back!

Well I'm back in Pigtown and no . . . I'm not interested in running for the Schoolboard again whether I'm needed or not. Many thanks for asking at the coffee today. What else? I've got to meet with an ex-soldier who had landed in a F.O.P. He had me swear up and down to never disclose his identity.

Yipee . . . Jury Duty

Here's how it works. You are required to fill out a Qualification Questionaire. Stuff like are ya a citizen, 18 yrs old, resident of the county, english speaker, disabilities, ever  conficted of a felony, served in last four years. As you can see, I've never committed a felony. I did get stopped once for touching the fog line but was just told to watchout. I wouldn't think that is a felony anyways. So I'm Jury eligible.

Praise be to This ISIS Warrior

This cuts to the center of the issue. I will blow myself up . . . no wait, I've changed my mind.

PARIS (Reuters) - Salah Abdeslam, the Paris attacks suspect who was arrested in Brussels last month, refused to blow himself up on the day of the attacks, his brother Mohamed told French news channel BFM TV.
Abdeslam, who will be extradited to France, has renewed an offer to cooperate with French authorities investigating the Nov. 13 attacks that killed 130 people, his lawyer said this week.
"There would have been more victims had I done it," Salah Abdeslam told his brother. "Luckily, I couldn't go through with it."

Oh Come On Man

Here's the link . . . so how can the 'System' be improved if our elected officials never owe us an explanation? It's the terrible deal of folks being 'above the law and not of it.' There you go. Now I have to head to this caustic environment and be a happy juror. Man oh man cut me some slack. Silver lining in every cloud. I'll surly keep you folks up to date on this.

Lost American Style

So it's up and at 'em. 90 degrees in the shade. Snakes, spiders and scorpions all over the trail. Onward to the Four Peaks and only snow in Arizona. We're totally lost in the out-back. Did find a spring; nearly ran out of gas with no Plan B, and picked up needed refreshments (Coors Light) from a group where "Red Necks' rule. Side note here, every plant in the place wants to make you bleed. I suppose I'll have to wait to donate blood until I recover.

Just Pissed

Yeah . . . that would be me in the green. Landed in Arizona. I'm training for my big mountain climbing deal in Colorado. I'm hanging out in Sedona climbing Bell Mountain. So me, the author of two pissed-off books about about Criminal Justice Reform is notified today that I'm to serve jury duty in May. The problem is, Arizona isn't in Minnesota. They threaten you with jail and high crimes and misdemeanors if ya don't show up. What do I do? Who knows? this story is unfolding as it developes.

By the way . . . The Prosecutor in that place is the infamous Kristin Nelson of Bill O'Reilly fame for plea bargianing a child abuse case. I know this, I know things, and they . . . 'The System' . . . want me on the Jury?

Stay Tuned.

Say What!
