I'm asked over and over again which of the stories I wrote that I like the best. Many variables go into crafting a story. At least for me. So I truly pen point an absurdity in the world we share and I hammer on it. 'The Last Gargoyle' regards differences in values, compounded by drinking, that ends in an explosive ending. It is an all to true work though it is in fact 'Realistic Fiction'. Enjoy.
Ethel Rohan, author of ‘Out of Dublin’ on Curt Rude's writing. "Overall, great writing style. Reminds me of Rushdie: internal, emotionally complicated, and dualistic. Delivered with a sensitivity and awareness that is underrated. In one word his work is Awesome!"

Europe
Guess I'm about to jump the creek. Looking forward to hanging out with readers in Germany-Austria-Italy and Spain. Start thinking about the questions now. First question is usually which story I wrote that I like the best. Also, am excited about hanging with some of Europe's best.

True is Stranger than Fiction
And so it is, all my stories regard suffering and the smash up of this thing referred to as the human experience. Sad but true. Look and wonder. Is this necessary?

Hunting
Looks like I'm headed to Superior for some agate hunting and a book signing. Hit me up if you want a presentation between said city and, say, Eau Claire. By the way, William Kent Krueger had more used books for sale than yours truly. Perhaps it has something to do with his selling millions vs my sale in the neighborhood of a hundred thousand!

Runaway
Need a place to run to? Why not Steamboat Springs? Rodeo to hiking. They have it all. Besides, it's about balance. Too much writing (in my case) and not enough of hanging out isn't really advised.

Did Love Kill him?
"I like the taste of beer, its live, white lather, its brass bright depths, the sudden world through the wet brown walls of the glass, the tilted rush to the lips and the slow swallowing down to the lapping belly, the salt on the tongue, the foam on the corners." Dylan Thomas
