Ashley Madison

Those of you who have read JusThis aren't really surprised are ya? I got a kick outta the bit of concern relating to the number of Minnesota Government Employees hanging out on the site. I mean . . . JusThis explained the Ashley Madison phenomenon look before it was in the Headlines and what the ramifications well be.

More than 36 million accounts have apparently been hacked and an estimated  15,000 were traced back to government and military e-mail addresses. One dozen accounts ended in “state.mn.us.” That doesn’t mean the addresses are legitimate.

Message from 'Arab Friend"

I've somehow managed to lose your email. I've been on the road. Could you please contact me? We need to talk. Your message was . . . how should I say . . . somewhat startling. More need to know of your plight.

Running for Heroin Addicts

Hey, I ran and managed to keep up with a young gal all gussied up in running gear. I wanted to do something for all them folks who lost their battle with heroin addiction. A 5K is tough stuff for a fella who hangs out with his keyboard. I wonder if the ambulance was following me just in case.

And The Song Remains The Same

Wasn't hard to see this coming. There're back!

Also wasn't a surprise to see what has been transpiring regarding Officer Bantle. Confederacy of Dunces in Action

Friday, July 17, 2015

Chief Joel Rae and Deputy Bob Delvalle well be back . . .

Allegations have been well presented. The good ol' boys club will survive. No worries. An improvement plan will be tendered (for the Chief and his partner in crime) and a good officer, Kristine Bantle will be dealt with. She has to be silenced. I heard you good folks but in the end  . . . ultimately apathy will strike her down. Shame. She was well plugged in, from what I heard from you folks at the library. She was a Liason, she presented well at a graduation, she was the right person but end the end . . . apathy will do her in. No one well ask their elected officials why. No one will remember how good she was for her community.

I know the charges haven't been released yet, but I'm about reading between the lines, before the system gleefully protects the bad ones and does in the good. Now it's off to Telluride.

Reinstate Officer Kristen Bantle for Steamboat Springs

So get this . . . Officer Kristen Bantle is a well-thought of officer on the Steamboat Springs Police Dept. She has been charged with attempting to influence a public servant by Sheriff Garrett Wiggins. This charge steams back to 2013. Nothing is currently being released because it's all hush hush as the system attempts to squash her but good.

I've been hearing from the good citizens about concerns regarding the good old boys club. Apparently Bantle didn't fit into this mold. Lets just say Officer Bantle is a speaker of the truth that the players in The System do not appreciate. Let's also say she is one of my hero's and should be a part of the effort to provide better policing in a community that badly needs improvements. Remember this name . . . Officer Bantle and hope to god she runs for Sheriff come the next elections,

The following link is provided for those naysayers who felt JusThis or Brand of Justice were not plausible.

Wizards, Travelers and Colorado

Many thanks for those of you who showed up. I'm out of books but hope to have some on hand before hitting Boulder. Absolutely loved the Library with its Coffee Shop and view of the Yampa. Fun running to stand in it least we forget our all important childhoods.

Let's recap.

  1. Where does your inspiration come from? It springs out of my life experiences.
  2. How did you write stories before they started really happening? I could see it coming easily enough. I'd been involved in law enforcement in one capacity or another since 1979. When the officers started embracing the military model and gave up on community based policing Ferguson and on and on started happening. The New York Times is reporting New York is settling the Eric Garner case for 5.9 million. Ouch! How's that for an admission that the cops done choked that man to death? on the sidewalks of The Big Apple?
  3. Why is all of this happening now? The song remains the same but technology has evolved . . . as in cameras . . . for the masses. Check out the murder of Walter Scott and the initial actions of the officer as he tosses a taser near the body. Think of what would have happened if no video was available.
  4. You writing another book? You bet! I've found a passion for social fiction. I've served and protected in a prior life and now carry on the tradition, the life choice to be a part of the solution. To see it for what it is and to hit it with the plain and simple truth.
  5. Have you read any good books lately? Just finished Carry On, Warrior by Glennon Melton. Man is she involved in the truth of the matter. After coming clean about issues in her life she had to come to terms with the dreaded social condemnation of her past. People are basically unable to talk the talk and walk the walk when it comes to issues of forgiveness. Carry on Glennon, You're worth it,
I address you all tonight for who you truly are: wizards, mermaids, travelers, adventurers, and magicians. You are the true dreamers.  Brian Selznick

A Picture and the Wisdom of Marie Lu

Marie Lu said it best . . . Each day means a new twenty-four hours. Each day means everything's possible again. You live in the moment, you die in the moment, you take it all one day at a time.

Life with The Swine

Jeez . . . just think, I let Artimus out (she'd be the dog) and Rudy got to licking my toe (that'd be the pink pig). Truffles was just tagging along keeping an eye on things. The Rancher was somewhat put out with the pigs greeting me on the doorstep until laughter overtook the whole thing. It is what it is and everyday is a gift whether it involves a pig on the step or a enormous Elk on the road. I managed to miss it (The Elk).

By the way as per one of my last post, I followed my own advice and didn't attempt to get Rudy to dance.

The Desert

Well readers . . . I'm headed into the heat and have no idea about the ability of communicating with you folks. I'll make attempts at posting from the isolation of sand, heat and more sand.

Just encase ya were wondering . . . Never attempt to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time and annoys the pig.

So We Found It - So There!

Longtime a coming. I'm on a bike trail pounding out the miles. Bridge is out. I'm lost with my wife in no time. Long story short, Caroline gives us green tea and Grant her husband runs us to the next town in his pick-up. This after we toured their lovely home, they're working on.

While leaving this town with threatening weather and such we ask Barb for directions. She later catches up to us on the highway and spirits us to our destination. Just to be kind. She told us how she assisted an injured owl.

I was hit with the fact there plenty of good going on all the time to combat them ol' evil headlines.
Though nobody can go back and make a new beginning... Anyone can start over and make a new ending.

Shame on Humanity for Spawning The Islamic State

What gives? Beheadings, Crucifixions, Stonings and Burning folks alive? Where is the UN when they are needed most? Where is the reason for followers to jump on this bandwagon? Nope, we gotta be missing something here.

Odds and Sods

I've been asked when the next story is going to be released. It's out of my control. The story is told but folks in the biz are having a shot at it now.

Latest thoughts on JusThis . . . Finished the first book. Like how it took a turn, completely different than what I expected. Started the 2nd one.

Just Me and Some Great Afghanistan Food

Man I gotta tell ya . . . they eat well in the Middle East. Lots of lamb, yogurt and spices. The Kebabs are to die for. The spices are always fresh. Afghanistan has a national dish, Kabuli Pulao topped with raisins, carrots and pistachios. It's something else. Goat is also served kinda like pulled pork. I loved it all. Notice everybody declined to be photographed with that American. Oh well . . . it's a tough job but someone has to do it.

Strange Times

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is cooling his heels headed to death row. Since Adam Lanza killed 20 unarmed, helpless kids and staff in Sandy Hook . . . There have been 72 mass shootings in America, the land of the brave. Micheal Slager used his police powers to gun down an unarmed man. Now Dylann Roof wants to be somebody in the headlines and bravely (NOT) goes into a church and kills 9 to make it into the news big-time.

Currently there are screams for the Confederate Flag to come down. What about the mechanism of death? Oh wait . . . the founding fathers gave us the right to run around armed to the teeth. For a second there I thought it was about money, big money, purchasing the silence of our elected officials and pushing its agenda.

Gosh . . . are you proud to be an American where at least we are free to be killed anywhere at anytime?

Running 4 Office

I've been approached to run for a School Board. Apparently something like 380 graduates with a 72 dropping out isn't cutting it. Some find high taxes and one cover up after another as not appealing either. Me for Mayor? I'm to truthful for politics. The way I glob-trot I'd never be able to get it done either. Thanks for the kind requests though. Another book? You bet! I've left the names out below to protect the guilty . . .

I added my most recent Book Review.

Well, I'm 1/2 way thru the first book. I have to say, I was not expecting the story as it is, but having a lot of fun reading it. I'm a reader of every type of book so I'm never too surprised and love reading books from writers I've met along the way. I have always respected you as a person and now as a writer. Keep up the great work!!!

Austin people just blow my mind again...you and Bob need to get together for a long chat...this story is a good one and after tomorrow might even be better..do you have any dirt on T. L. and not the Doctor one...oh the L. family of Austin or a R. B.? are you sure you dont want to run for mayor or have peggy take over as principal at ellis??? is there a new book yet?
