Kobe was Not a Rapist

Innocent until proven guilty in a Court of Law.

The 60-year-old, who is the granddaughter of Roy O. Disney — a cofounder of the Walt Disney Company — had in a tweet January 29 shared an op-ed from the Washington Post about allegations Bryant faced some 17 years ago, writing "The man was a rapist. Deal with it."

Response

This response was left the other day. First of all thanks go out to you for sharing. The point here, is that you are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. All this acting and condemning is not fair in any sense to Kobe or anyone ever been bullied like this. The second paragraph are the concerns expressed by a family who lost one of its own.

people have to put the foot down for bad behavior

"As to those who contend that Mr. Dulos' death reflects a consciousness of guilt, we say 'no,' we say it was more a conscience overworn with the weight of a world that was too busy to listen and that wanted a story more than it wanted the truth. We're not bitter and we're not accusing anyone of having driven him to his death, we wonder why -- in the court of public opinion -- the presumption of innocence was so quickly satisfied."

How do the 'Animation Is Film Festival' Organizers feel Now?

Innocent until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law. I mean all charges were dropped against Kobe. We know he did some amazing things in his life. This included being a 'Girl Dad' and Inspiration to women around the world. Being found guilty in the Court of Public Opinion was certainly not one of them. How can people turn on the Faucet of Hate and cling to that Glass of Vile Intentions?

Yet in 2018, just seven months after he won an Academy Award for best animated short film, Bryant was dropped from the jury of a film festival.
“This is an urgent time to say NO to toxic and violent behavior against women,” read a petition urging organizers of the Animation Is Film Festival to dissociate themselves from Bryant.

Funny Fictional Moment

brought to you by Matthew McConaughey. He's doing a commercial for Lincoln Navigator. He drills a tiny hole for the size of hook he's ice fishing with. No worries, he forgot to bait the hook. Then he returns to his Navigator to whistle the theme from The Andy Griffith Show. Once the flag pops up I'd have loved to seen him scoot across the ice, in the no lug boots he's wearing, but the commercial ends. Life is so unfair at times.

Bomb's Away

It took a team of geniuses to build the atomic bomb. Idiots weren't sought out to add to this team. Nope. Just smart folks needed to apply. You see, it takes a genius to get the job done right and blow the world up.

First Umbrellas . . . Then Weed

Londoners got worked-up over umbrellas, because the feeling was, all Englishmen would be weakened if not exposed to the elements. This is in the seventeenth century. So a anti-umbrella-ist group formed and demanded the banning of all umbrellas. They claimed the purpose of rain is to make people wet and thus toughing 'em up a bit.

Today there are those across the nation demanding weed be damned because smoking a joint results in the religious minded longing for sex. I guess logic dictates getting high and stayin' dry creates weak perverts. Now that I got that off my chest onward hoe . . .

The Question Is ... To be Offensive or Not To be Offensive?

What I love how many times he uses the N word. If a sports caster or coach said that one time they would lose their careers. Such a protected double standard in our country.

Walter Doran posed this question regarding an incident where the N and F words are extensively used by a gentleman. I also couldn't help but notice the word 'Cracker' was used as an adjective. I listened to the exchange and wondered if Miami Norland Senior High and Central Michigan (Schools attended by Antonio Brown) are failing its graduates. I mean oh c'mon man . . . Speech is part of your curriculum - right?

The Duchess of Sussex - Meghan Markle

I'm staring down a cup of coffee while others are debating the crisis confronting The Royals. Got me to thinking what I'd ask Ms Markle if presented with the opportunity. So here goes. 'Meghan, do you walk to work or take a lunch?'

Ladies . . . Think About It

With spring just around the corner I figured now is the time to be proactive. So ladies, if you're thinking of taking a stroll in a thunderstorm do it with a guy. Men are hit by lightning four times as often as women.

Did Ya Know . . .

When you walk into a large public restroom, the kind in every airport, always choose the stall closest to the door. It's the one most folks won't take, so it's the cleanest.

Time for a Little of This and That

Got to travel to San Francisco to pick this award up. My Literary Agency (Click & See) is currently shopping my latest novel . . . The Passionate Jihadist. The critics loved it and of course the awards flowed in. It regards the Middle East from a child's' point of view. I wrote this before the current bombs started flyin'.

Let's see here . . . to other novels out there, JusThis and Brand of Justice. These were written before 50 cent tossed produced The Oath and For Life.

The Bee Killer is available on audible. Short story about PTSD that we hear so much about. Right? I loved working with Nikki who narrated this piece.

Now I'm involved with One Evil Gargoyle. It's a short story about death and mayhem.
