A World full of Sleeping Pills

Isn't the person in the mirror the hardest person to lie to? How does Obama take part in The Budapest Memorandum and not miss some sleep? How do Oligarchs rip off an entire Nation and continue to enjoy a privileged lifestyle? How does death evade soul searching? I mean one kindergarten child gunned down in his/her classroom comes wrought with accountability. Only 10% of the population is polluted with Sociopaths who sleep very well without pills. What about Putin? You'd think it would take some serious pills, to knock him off his feet, after he puts in another day at the office.

Inspiration

Minnesota State Trooper Robert Leroy Nelson stated "I followed her, put her in my squad car, and sexually assaulted, handcuffed and tortured her. I then strangled the woman with a cord, and left her body in a ravine near Interstate 90, east of Blue Earth, Minnesota." I mean who can you trust? JusThis plausible? I worked for a Chief of Police who, shall we say, was inspiring in his own right. I did sign a complaint regarding his behavior, but he resigned before any accountability could be introduced. Cover-up? Ya think?

So now you have it. The inspiration for writing JusThis. Women need to read this story. Cross my badge and hope to die. Women need to consider this material . . . to be safe out there.

Signed a contract with Spotify for The Last Gargoyle. My intention all along was to somehow get this material in front of eyes and minds. I am convinced this story needs to be listened to by young people. Perhaps an old cop knows a thing or two . . . time will tell.

Who is Curt Rude?

A decorated cop in a former life; awarded author currently. I took a piece of every shift I worked and applied it to my stories. I listen before putting it down in a story. Readers are exposed to the savage nature of humanity where society—saturated with dollar-based ethics—headbutts the truth. While on this freakish path of discovery shade will be tossed on the wrongs we are all force fed. Amen.

Why I Write

Long before Black Lives Matter I wrote 'JusThis'. Before The Innocence Project happened I penned 'Brand of Justice'. I sat down and heard, really heard, how awful war is and then 'Never a Child' was written. I have seen what PTSD is all about. It compelled me to write 'The Bee Killer'. 'The Last Gargoyle' calls out those who bully. 'One Virus One Gift' points out the pain and suffering of racism and classism. Let's see here . . . 'The Trip' involves a retired cop finally getting it. Understanding real kindness. I was walking down main street America and heard two boys in a pick-up call two men on the sidewalk 'fags'. Bang! 'The Rainbow Flag Allegiance' was created in the flash of so much hatred. I savor writing like some enjoy ice cream. Thanks go out to my readers.

 I was at a book signing in Albert lea, Minnesota and had a long conversation about humanity and the costs to belong to such an ideal. This conversation was with a man who had traded fire with Afghans in the Hindu Kush Mountains. This soldier told me nothing is as it seems. The root of a post traumatic disorder starts somewhere.
