Walking with Giants!

For the longest time plenty of folks were too frightened to acknowledge yours truly in public. Like Dylan sang . . . oh the times are a changin'. I found it very disturbing to have to watch a police officer cower at a Blandin Meeting, just because he's at a table with me. Sad stuff I tell ya. That's why I'm so excited to have bravery tossed at me from these awesome folks. They ain't cops. They ain't soldiers . . . but they're brave enough to stand up and be heard. Awesome!

Apostle Island Ice Caves & Brand of Justice

You, your children, friends, you name it, can be falsely charged, overcharged and wrongfully convicted. The police are shooting quicker today. Major crime indexes are down. Yet, the police are shooting more citizens today than ever before. Period. I kept the price down on Brand of Justice. It's going to be in southern Minnesota libraries. I guess you can lead a reader to a book but you can't make 'em read it. I did my best. Be safe out there today.

The world's coolest read. Hanging out with youngsters, guys and gals to get the message out. Read to be safe. Read to know. Nobodies perfect, Cops are somebody, thus they ain't perfect.

Another Day . . . Another Review . . . For Brand of Justice!

Friend Reviews (3) 5.00 average

Marie Fostino
Are you into suspense, who did it books? Ones that will keep you guessing until the end and hold your interest, then this is the book for you. Tinky and Dub are the best of friends and have everything planned out when they get out of high school until there is a murder and one of them are to be blamed. How did the murder happen? Did anyone really see it like the police said? This is a story about true friends who have each others back and try to make things right again. Thanks Curt Rude for a great read.

Curt Rude? oh ya, you already now he's put together JusThis & Brand of Justice. The Infamous Rude Winery's door is always open to creative minded authors. Oh, and the wine, many thanks go to, Kevin and his lovely wife, of Collective Spirits in Albert Lea for making it happen. So who's the next author? I hope Marie Fostino. She wrote a story that in my opinion, as an ex-cop and father is a must read for Young Adults. Young Gals and, Guys must experience The Silver Locket . . . click here folks to read a sample of The Silver Locket The Silver Locket on Amazon Get this, all the mentioned books can be picked up on a Kindle or Nook for less than you'd pay for one book at Barnes and Noble.

This comment from a former police officer and author of 'Love of a Lifetime' who is currently reading Brand of Justice

Joe Tran I couldn’t agree with you more! There’s so many things that the general public doesn’t know . . . so much of it is a façade. For instance . . . . the brotherhood that we all hear about constantly barely exists anymore. It’s all for show. We really live in a world of self-importance these days and cops are no different than the rest . . .

Mayo RN's say yes, Brand of Justice, could happen as written!

I had a Captain from Chicagoland look over Brand of Justice and give me his opinion. Was the story plausible? Did the Investigators act and react as they would on the mean streets of America? His answer. Yes. Issues like this happen and investigators would have looked it over, jumped to wrong conclusions and hit for the barn without even snapping pictures. He said it was obvious that I'd been in the bizz personally and not just regurgitating material from TV.

I had several Mayo Clinic RN's review the homicides in Brand of Justice. Could it occur as written? Well, yes. But what kinda guy thinks up of stuff like this? When I heard that, I got a kick out of it. A novelist, who was a cop in a prior life, and is pushing a storyline, thinks up of stuff like this. That's who! Be careful out there today. Remember the worst cop in the world, could be on duty. We don't know where.

Officer Safety vs Safety Around Officers

I wrote Brand of Justice and am proud of it. We all want to do the best to keep our kids safe. To respect law and order. Then, on occasion, innocence is hammered. Read the back cover of my story. Look, I'm telling ya, this is one book needs reading. Get it used, check it out of the library. Anything. Amazon priced it at $2.99. Let your kids read it and then discuss it. Talk to them about the do's and don't after they find themselves in front of a cop.

44% of Juveniles are trashed into wrongful convictions. Police are trained in Officer Safety. Let's start educating our kids folks. They have to be trained into being Officer Aware. I was a cop in a prior life. Now I write about these issues. Brand of Justice is all about a kid getting wrongfully convicted! 44% is too big of a number. I knew it was bad, but not this bad. Good Cop Bad Cop Interrogation methods is just the start. I'm telling you, talk to your kids before it's too late.
