Ethel Rohan, author of ‘Out of Dublin’ on Curt Rude's writing. "Overall, great writing style. Reminds me of Rushdie: internal, emotionally complicated, and dualistic. Delivered with a sensitivity and awareness that is underrated. In one word his work is Awesome!" Check out my new site . . . www.curt-rude.com

ISIS and Thomas Jefferson
Actions speak louder than words. Beheadings and crucifixions are only two examples of the need for separation of church and state. How did the Founding Forefathers arrive at this conclusion back in the colonial times?

Ottawa Shooting
Here's to hoping the truth doesn't get trumped by political correctness, as the World Community, struggles with a new term - radicalized.

United Nations and Isis
This just in, the UN suspects Isis of committing war crimes. Them folks are in charge of international peace. I suppose goofballs have a place on the planet but do we have to stick 'em in the UN?

Ghoncheh Ghavami . . . Volleyball & Crimes Against a Regime
Ms Ghavami has been tossed into a Tehran Prison for having it figured a woman could watch a volleyball match. No lawyer and solitary. Take one small step for this woman. It could be a giant step for mankind. Sign her petition. It'll make you feel better than Neil Armstrong.

The False Arrest - Prosecutor Misconduct - Wrongful Conviction Challenge
Here's the latest.
False Arrest Margaret Pardez Staten Island settles with Ms Pardez for $80,000. Of course the city did not admit fault or liability in reaching the settlement. So what is one to surmise from this? That the legal system is alive and well in Staten Island? Think again.
Prosecutor Misconduct Rampant Prosecutorial Misconduct I mean, can you believe it?
Wrongful Conviction Scared Yet? Medical Experts claim the injuries occurred before Verez is around. Again the Cameron County Attorney lacked any remorse what-so-ever.
This post is shared in the spirit of Halloween. I'm going to the Halloween Bash dressed up as a Prosecutor.

As John Cougar sang . . . but ain't this America
Check this out. This lit'le ol' lady has somehow summed up what it's about. After all, the human animal is the only critter more full of BS than the real variety. Her family defended these actions, by the way, saying nothing illegal happened, she has a permit. Never mind any kind of ethical consideration. It's all 'bout taking until ya can take no more.

Flogged by the Media & Jesse Matthew
In regards to yesterdays comments, I get the feeling the media is in the info business with a limited amount of monies and time to toss at stories. Issues are merely touched on and then it's onto something new to toss at the consuming public. Result . . . incomplete, inaccurate (many times) or just plain wrong info being dished up.
So consider your sources before your arrive at an 'informed' opinion.
In the expanding fallout from the arrest of Jesse L. Matthew Jr. in the abduction of Hannah Graham, authorities have agreed to further DNA testing in the case of Randy A. Taylor, convicted in the slaying of Alexis Murphy, a Nelson County teenager who disappeared last year.
Did you folks catch this? Matthews is suspected of being involved with sexually assaulting, disappearance and deaths of numerous women on the east coast. Now we have an individual who was imprisoned for the murder of a gal demanding DNA testing to validate his claim of innocence. Do you ever get the feeling you are being flogged by the reality of these strangely hellish times?

The Media, Ebola & The Blood of Lambs.
Okay, here we go. The CDC Director keeps tellin' us that Ebola is hard to get. Almost impossible-right? Nobody on planes have anything to worry about, blah-blah-blah. Then we see ambulances quarantined, individuals entering the apartment with space suit looking outfits on. So what is the deal anyways?
Kamal Saleem writes an incredible story of a Terrorist's involvement with Death and Redemption. Let me quote from his book, The Blood of Lambs (pg 242) 'So when I read in the New York Times that CAIR's Ibrahim Hooper accused Zak, Walid, and me of "hate speech," I did not know whether to laugh or run the newspaper through my shredder. Maybe both.' He also points out how the media would forget to get his side of issues before running with some sensational story.
In my story, Brand of Justice, readers read the following. . . 'As the reporter dutifully took notes, Jankowski added, “Then the chief's wife went out and killed herself because she couldn’t stand losing such a fine husband. I’ll bet that McMurphy killed the chief or had one of his druggie buddies do it. Then Junior Beane stuck a knife in him before the truth could come out. I think McMurphy had it coming. After all, Junior figured that McMurphy was messing with his wife. Junior did us all a favor by doin’ away with the bastard. It woulda cost the taxpayers plenty, believe you me, to put him away. Like lots of other folks around here, I’m gonna send the Beanes some cold hard cash to help Junior get off." When the reporter talked to other patrons in the restaurant, they generally agreed with Jankowski’s assessment of the chain of events that had put Normal in the spotlight nationwide.'

Interesting points being Exposed by Ferguson Missouri
The citizens do not trust those who are paid from their tax dollars, to serve and protect them. The police respond with military hardware which draws comparisons to Tiananmen Square. There was a lose of life that initiated all of this scrutiny. Now the Freedom of Information Act is being circumvented. Yes, the city officials are obligated to follow the law but that doesn't mean they can't get 'around' it. They are managing the release of information by making it prohibitively expensive. It is almost makes you want to stand up and scream ENOUGH! Now the Grand Jury is taking the long road to arrive at a decision. Makes you wonder if the people in positions of authority are dragging this out, in the hope, folks lose interest and just go away.
The good that has came out of this? Community Based Policing (as being displayed by Ronald Johnson) has come to the forefront as a means to an end. The citizens keep pushing for progressive change. We've already discussed why Darren Wilson is going to be cleared for his actions. Enough said?
Finally . . . thanks for this reply. But remember, the issue here isn't less police, but more effective policing. I feel the angst.
wait until some one needs the police and they don't show up because they are afraid they might offend some one...you can always call some one else to help, oops, no one will come to help anymore...you'll get your wish-no more police harassing you, congratulations.......

A Government of the People, for the People.
Where has all the accountability went? It's like playing hide and seek with attorneys who represent communities who are squaring off against its citizens. Read this over again, it could be important.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Officials in Ferguson, Missouri, are charging nearly 10 times the cost of some of their own employees' salaries before they will agree to turn over files under public records laws about the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown.

I Did My Part
Lets see . . . I wrote JusThis & Brand of Justice. I did my part Mr. Faulkner!
Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion against injustice and lying and greed. If people all over the world...would do this, it would change the earth.

Gone Girl
After reading this story . . . I immediately reread it. Gillian Flynn nailed it. Pick up a copy of this book. Read it and then check out the movie. Sociopaths make up an estimated 10% of our population.
Tell me it isn't so. A copycat Islamic beheading in Oklahoma?
One wonders if the NFL is going to be successful in its push for a European presence.
Real everyday heroes are out there. Don't lose hope. Keep reading . . .
Now, she and her loved ones, are afraid in their own home. fearing retaliation and violence more vicious than the last.
Eastern district captain Darwin Roche made a promise to protect her and her family.
At 9:30 p.m. Roche showed up to her house and plans to stay through the night protecting her and her family.

'Police Safe' . . . Kirk Cousins . . . and poor pitiful Trooper Groubert!?!?
Man . . . Kirk practically takes care of the over - under himself. Wow, what a zany world we live in. Gotta say, gambling is one tough way to earn a living. A little while back we considered the odds of a Chief managing to pull off a Press Conference. I mean I was giddy, this was going to be good stuff. Then he shows up and reads a message without any give and take with the media. Surprised - Surprise. 0 & 2 and the Student Loans loom, but there was no choice, we're makin' attempts at being professions after all.

Now we've been discussing the importance of folks, any folks. Children, blacks, whites, wheelchair bound, you name it . . . to hang onto the mentality of hands up don't shoot. The cops are being instructed by outfits like Caliber Press to shoot and ask questions later. Citizens please heed my call, the times have been a changin'. Don't get all smug and figure it can't happen to you and yours. When you are in an interaction with the police be slow. Keep your hands visible. If you wear seat belts, shouldn't you at least consider the concept of being 'Police Safe'? Trooper Groubert was responding to what he thought was going to be an armed encounter. Man, talk about messed up. Can you imagine how terrible this Trooper feels? So please talk to your kids. Be 'Police Safe'. You could be saving your life and an officers career as well as his liberty.
The order is
Rapidly fadin'
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.
Rapidly fadin'
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.

Owner of Americas Team . . . some kind of sex fiend?
Man, the NFL must be lookin' around with dismay. Yes sir, must be dismal behind the scenes. They must be looking at one another . . . like thinking . . . who's next? Must be startling to realize boat loads of cash can't keep you safe from technology. So we have wife beatings, child whippings, and Hernandez's murder trial set to begin in October. Owners, i.e Eddie Debartolo used to get jammed up over allegations of gambling. Now, all of a sudden, women are lining up and calling Jerry Jones out for perverse and shameful behavior. In days past Owners would've just denied it or threatened lawsuits. Now they're being forced to smell the roses of accountability. Ouch.
I suppose there are crazier things going on besides a Texas Oilman getting sexed up. You know, 'Knock Out' 'Beheadings' 'Ferguson' and-and-and. Hightime to figure out a response . . . you think? Owe, almost forgot, take the Skins tonight, they'll cover three and a half.

No . . . please . . . not another politician approving another message.
Man oh man . . . talk about terrible times. Bar-knuckle terrorism in the cross hairs of President Obama. Goodell can't tell a decent lie anymore. I mean, where's Clinton when ya need him? He'll do anything for a buck and boy does the NFL need some good old Clinton advice about now. Talking about advice, don't ya think Bill should sit Hillary down, and in no uncertain terms, explain to her that she's running for President? One last thing . . . Governor Branstad is spending 4.1 million to get elected to a job that pays 130 thousand a year. He gets in and is bought and paid for. Right? I mean, pick your poison, select a politician and check 'em out. You ever get that feeling you've been degraded to the point of no return?
