Hungry to be Wrong?

The Bible is a great book . . . is the best gift, God has given man . . . . But for it, we could not know right from wrong.
Abraham Lincoln

So I'm wondering. Does man have an enormous appetite for wrong?

Glenn Beck Nailed It

Here is how he finished up his book, 'It Is About Islam' God will not hold us blameless. Silence in the face of evil is evil itself. Not to stand is to stand. Not to speak is to speak."

Look around you today. Are there people in your walk of life who really give a damn or is it always about . . . Self-Preservation? I've always said Americans will stand up for anything as long as they can make their monthly car payment. Look at it this way . . . if you won't stand up for something you will fall for anything.

Passion for The truth

curt started following u on twitter. love how you do not just see an issue but you see through it. many thanks and please keep it up

Many thanks for sharing a passion for the truth. I like to think an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Observing this zany world is difficult at times. I mean, what is the driver for all this hate? Does not an eye for an eye make the world blind? Should we not attempt to understand before we hate? I was inspired because of the gift of having served a community as a police officer for many years. I seen the good, the bad and the ugly and write first hand accounts about the 'way' it is. Period.

Not Feeling It

Not a big fan of 'Super Delegates'. The whole deal where a candidate can garner a ton of popular votes but remain a distant second because of how the 'System' is rigged. Now we have Republicans eating their own. Didn't they all agree to support whoever comes out on top after the people have spoken. Don't even get me going on the electoral college. By the way, I read 'Clinton Cash'. It is a must read for those considering Hillary.

Another Side to the Horror of War?

Ashley Guindon is gunned down on her first day of duty. She was a Marine Reservist. Her killer, Staff Sgt Ronald Hamilton is assigned to the Pentagon. He must be a very accomplished soldier and one of our 'heros' before he loses his temper and opens fire. His neighbor said he was a good guy. Was he in the war zone where human life is devalued? I would think this is more of an issue than any of us would want to admit. When we send innocence to kill and maim is it possible they return to haunt us? Is there any forgiveness for this man? Do we simply write him off as a 'suddenly developed monster' and wait until it happens again? Do we remember yesterdays headlines? Eddie Ray Routh anyone?

Self-Preservation

So I'm exchanging this and that's with folks in Rochester. I picked up on the theme that one must provide for themselves before doing onto others. I dunno . . . is this how the likes of Gandhi, Jesus, King and well you get the picture lived? Bhutto, who also lost her life because of her fellow human beings, said this . . .

So I'm in Rochester

Hung out in Rochester. Stayed at the Kahler. Bernie and the Dalai Laama were also in town.

Get this . . . I am struggling with polishing up a manuscript and minding my own business. I end up meeting this incredible lady who seemed to have stepped out of my latest story, I am currently working on. Her life experiences, where she is from and where she is going was simply mesmerizing to say the least.

We discussed things, including the brutal treatment of women in Paksitan and India. I then recieve the following email. Got to believe in the power of positive.

 Curt –

Saba was shot in the face, put in a bag and thrown in a river in Pakistan by her father and uncle at age 19. The reason? She wanted to marry for love.

Amazingly, Saba survived. However, her father and uncle walked free because she was pressured to ‘forgive’ them, which is currently allowed by the law in Pakistan.

Fate is like a strange, unpopular restaurant filled with odd little waiters who bring you things you never asked for and don't always like.

Second Amendment Right to Bear Assault Rifles

Gun deaths

Lets see here. Our Second Amendment Rights have overtaken Motor Vehicles Deaths for those 26 or younger.

I know guns don't kill people . . . people kill people. Tell that to a toddlers parents after a youngster shots himself. Today it's Kansas tomorrow never knows? perhaps you'll have to give your life for the Second Amendment.

Until people stop with the silly statement that . . . "Things like this never happen here. Not in our Town!" and shed apathy, the death spiral will continue. Gun Owners who can rationalize away Sandy Hook can rationalize anything. Where are my rights to opt out of the Second Amendment Right to Bear assault rifles?

So I see Jason Dalton exercised his 2nd Amendment Rights

Here we go again . . . 6 dead in Michigan. Jason had no priors and had a gun, one would assume legally. So lets see here, if the victims were armed they'd be alive some would say. I 'd say it looked like he would have gotten the drop on them. something gotta be done folks to stop this carnage.

What is the most Important Attribute to being a Writer?

I suppose this is truly a personal choice to be sure. My driver or push to complete a story comes from my firsthand experiences and a desire, a true desire, to be a part of the solution. To make reading worthwhile.
