Duluth

Had a great time in Duluth. Thanks for all the interest. Always nice to receive an award by the way.

We are all potential Targets . . .

It's not the person who landed in prison to serve life without parole. It's, perhaps the gentleman sitting next to you in church, who has an amazing voice. I am a graduate of the FBI National Academy and found folks love a good story.  Now that we are outta Afghanistan perhaps Never a Child would be a perfect lane to understanding. Reach out with questions. I shall remain devoted to my readers.

Royal Club

Excited. Love meeting up with folks who have experienced my stories. Also have to admit I love the venue! I think very highly of Duluth and not because you folks enjoyed my stories. I will not have books available for sale. I'm sold out, which is a good thing I guess. Anyways, yes I'll sign every last book and answer every last question.

Read

Read Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath and feel the pain. Follow the border from Texas to California and witness the heart break and then, only then, condone the suffering. I did and my soul is softer.

Why is it . . .

. . . Police Chiefs sound like Sergeant Schultz when bad deeds come to light?

Little Hard on the Police . . . Ya think?

I'm discussing the books I have written and a gentleman by the name of Nate asked if I wasn't being a little tough on the police. I responded that nobody is perfect . . . the police are somebody . . . thus they ain't perfect.

'The Beekiller" all over again.

LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) — Someone pounded on Miguel Rivera's sliding glass door early Sunday, but when he went to investigate, no one was there. Minutes later, gunfire erupted at his neighbor's house, where authorities say a Marine vet who thought he heard the voice of God killed four people, including a 3-month-old boy.

I'd like to invite those who are left wondering to read "The Bee Killer'. Read away at Kindle Vella for free or it's up on Amazon as well as other places.

Ya Think?

'They are so defiant and so strong': Photojournalist Paula Bronstein on documenting women and girls in Afghanistan

The United States dumped untold amounts of money into Afghanistan/Pakistan and walked away with what for the expenditure? Afghanistan's armed forces certainly floundered. This after all that expensive training. How many Americans scooted out of the country with untold millions?

Never a Child

Talk about a scary scenario. You criticize you die. You change your mind on Islam, and . . . yes . . . death lingers. How about a trip for food? A stray bullet haunts your thoughts. Think about it . . . this is the Twenty-First Century. Click and Decide for Yourself

Book Award

So how do I feel about one of my stories being considered for an award? Nice as far as that goes, but it is much more inspiring to know my stories touched people on a certain level.

Twenty Two on the side of America executed today by the Taliban. Man, ya gotta be careful, when you sign on the dotted line and work with the Americans.

Aren't ya a little hard on the police?

Was asked this, this week. Look . . . Police are people, no one is perfect, thus police ain't perfect and I call 'em out for their imperfections. You know. Little things like rape and murder. After all . . . we can't all stick our heads in the sand.

My story 'Brand of Justice' is on sale at a Bookstore near you.

  • For more than 20 years, Ledell Lee maintained his innocence in the brutal murder of Debra Reese, but he was executed in 2017.
  • Work from the Innocence Project and ACLU revealed serious flaws in his criminal trial, as well as a lack of DNA evidence tying him to the murder.
  • Earlier this week, new DNA evidence taken from the murder weapon revealed the genetic material of a different man.
