Richard Milhous Nixon

When faced with Watergate charges, President Nixon stated . . . "When the president does it, that means it's not illegal." Alrighty then.

Bomb's Away

It took a team of geniuses to build the atomic bomb. Idiots weren't sought out to add to this team. Nope. Just smart folks needed to apply. You see, it takes a genius to get the job done right and blow the world up.

First Umbrellas . . . Then Weed

Londoners got worked-up over umbrellas, because the feeling was, all Englishmen would be weakened if not exposed to the elements. This is in the seventeenth century. So a anti-umbrella-ist group formed and demanded the banning of all umbrellas. They claimed the purpose of rain is to make people wet and thus toughing 'em up a bit.

Today there are those across the nation demanding weed be damned because smoking a joint results in the religious minded longing for sex. I guess logic dictates getting high and stayin' dry creates weak perverts. Now that I got that off my chest onward hoe . . .

The Question Is ... To be Offensive or Not To be Offensive?

What I love how many times he uses the N word. If a sports caster or coach said that one time they would lose their careers. Such a protected double standard in our country.

Walter Doran posed this question regarding an incident where the N and F words are extensively used by a gentleman. I also couldn't help but notice the word 'Cracker' was used as an adjective. I listened to the exchange and wondered if Miami Norland Senior High and Central Michigan (Schools attended by Antonio Brown) are failing its graduates. I mean oh c'mon man . . . Speech is part of your curriculum - right?

The Duchess of Sussex - Meghan Markle

I'm staring down a cup of coffee while others are debating the crisis confronting The Royals. Got me to thinking what I'd ask Ms Markle if presented with the opportunity. So here goes. 'Meghan, do you walk to work or take a lunch?'

Ladies . . . Think About It

With spring just around the corner I figured now is the time to be proactive. So ladies, if you're thinking of taking a stroll in a thunderstorm do it with a guy. Men are hit by lightning four times as often as women.

Did Ya Know . . .

When you walk into a large public restroom, the kind in every airport, always choose the stall closest to the door. It's the one most folks won't take, so it's the cleanest.

Time for a Little of This and That

Got to travel to San Francisco to pick this award up. My Literary Agency (Click & See) is currently shopping my latest novel . . . The Passionate Jihadist. The critics loved it and of course the awards flowed in. It regards the Middle East from a child's' point of view. I wrote this before the current bombs started flyin'.

Let's see here . . . to other novels out there, JusThis and Brand of Justice. These were written before 50 cent tossed produced The Oath and For Life.

The Bee Killer is available on audible. Short story about PTSD that we hear so much about. Right? I loved working with Nikki who narrated this piece.

Now I'm involved with One Evil Gargoyle. It's a short story about death and mayhem.

Make America Great Again?

Dead and wounded women and children and little babies were all along here where they had been trying to run away. Sometimes bunches of them had been killed and torn to pieces where the wagon guns hit them. I saw a little baby trying to suck its mother, but she was bloody and dead. Black Elk spoke of these activities from America's past.

What's Happening?

So a shooting in Florida, Terrorists seem to be everywhere. I mean it gets to the point that the Saudis feel kinda bad for America. My story . . . The Passionate Jihadist offers insight through a kids eyes. My Agent is diligently placing it as you read this. Many thanks go out to The Barone Literary Agency for their efforts.

London Bridge Terror

Europe experiences an attack today. Afghanistan is now the longest running conflict in the United State's history. Everyone is right and everyone is wrong. I'm proud of my study involving the problem in The Passionate Jihadist.

Nothing New

Political Correctness or whatever ya call it goes back and back. What would Carlin think about the going on's today?

I got to thinking . . . hey what about The Far Side? Wow. This from a reader . . . "I was deeply saddened when The Far Side cartoon depicting a trussed cat hanging by its tail appeared in our local newspaper." Guess some folks have a sense of humor that runs in a different direction than Gary Larson and myself.

Brand of Justice All Over Again

In total, among all known exonerees, Americans have shelled out a staggering $4.12 billion to incarcerate innocent men and women since 1989, according to a Yahoo Finance analysis. That’s largely money spent on trials, and the cost of housing inmates in prison. According to the Bureau of Prisons, in the fiscal year 2017, the average cost to house a prisoner was over $36,000 a year in federal facilities.

Since the Supreme Court temporarily halted executions in 1972, at least 166 condemned inmates have been exonerated before their death sentences could be carried out. (Executions resumed in 1977 after states began revising their laws to comply with the high court ruling.) Advocates say that some innocent men have also been executed since then, including Cameron Todd Willingham, whom Texas put to death in 2004.

Kim Kardashian

Kim saves Rodney Reed from the Long Arm of Justice. Great Job! The likes of Mister Reed is the reason I penned Brand of Justice.

Listen to 'The Bee Killer' Today

What is PTSD?

Post-traumatic Stress Disorder happens when an individual experiences a horrifying ordeal that involves physical harm or the threat of physical harm. The physical harm or threat could have happened to the individual with PTSD, or the individual could have witnessed it happen to a loved one or a stranger. PTSD was first brought to public attention in relation to war veterans but a variety of traumatic events can cause PTSD.

Seeing is Believing

People who hit up my blog know where I stand on the issue of protestors. The point is, can't we agree to disagree and respect the other ...
